VMware & Ubuntu 7.04

想要在ubuntu裡用視窗的話要裝VMware,但是Vmware在ubuntu 7.04安裝方面會有問題,以下兩個網站應該可以解決難題,為了方便起見還是改一下成為自己的版本.

1.把應該安裝的header裝上,還有就是xinetd,用以下的command:
aptitude install linux-headers-`uname -r` build-essential
aptitude install xinetd

2.接下來去下載vmware. 記得登記以便得到serial key.可以email我.把vmware unzip.

3.在vmware的文件夾裡打上sudo ./ vmware-install.pl, 當被問到Before running VMware Server for the first time, you need to configure it by invoking the following command: "/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl". Do you want this program to invoke the command for you now? [yes]答no.

4.然後到http://icanthack.com/?p=53下載vmmon.tar還有vmnet.tar再抄到/usr/lib/vmware/modules/source/vmnet.tar 還有/usr/lib/vmware/modules/source/vmmon.tar 裡面.

5.最後到打sudo ./usr/bin/vmware-config.pl就可以了.
